We eased our boat right next to some dense bushes on the riverbank where the squirrel monkeys were active. They came for a close inspection — this one just inches from my camera.
I learned from this shot to make sure my polarizer is off and use a skylight filter instead for maximum light gathering when photographing animals. This is not as sharp as I’d like, but is also a reminder of the joy in learning the process of taking better pictures.
